Pluralist Websites

This is my brand name of websites. I am available to make websites for you. Normally, when you want someone else to do your website, the firm quotes a fantastic figure and offers all the flash and bells that require the user to have certain software. The process is a complete mystery and you end up being dependent on the website creators, who of course host the website in some expensive area (with "deals" offered). They make the process a mystery and keep the price high. I do not. I happily make the website, and then I show you how I did it. And I use mostly free software which you can have too. Nothing clever. My intention is to demystify, not to keep you in the dark and keep prices high. After all, a web page is simply arranged text.

It takes a few minutes to explain what that above is all about! Incidentally, illustrated are a cheap but good FTP uploader (I also use a free one) and a free text and HTML editor (I use another one too and additional small programs).
I take your orders for what you want, comment on them, suggest sensible and practical alternatives if necessary, create the graphics and show you an example. By then it is already on line in a free webspace that you maintain by using your email address! The result is usually the basis for me going on and completing the website. When the job is done, I then invite you to see how it was done. Then it is up to you. I transfer the files to edit and upload to your computer, or I can carry on. I stay in touch and look after your site and your efforts if you wish. And my rates are reasonable because I show you that essentially I...
Make and scan the pictures, sometimes from your commercial materials, write the text of the pages, convert to HTML 4 and XHTML, make the pages look good and set up the frames and arrange them in folders. I then upload and show you. Then it is simply a question of maintenance, addition and subtraction.
I am quite happy and able to teach HTML so that you can take over.
The websites are written in xhtml and anyone who has the main free or advert supported browsers sees the website well. Others will see it more basically.
I can happily supply references so you can get independent comment from those who have used Pluralist Websites.

Pluralist Websites is the name I have chosen for my web authoring and maintenance work, and I use this to refer to those websites I have created.
